Vegan Dinner with Vegan Wines
Chef Steven Brand, known for his love of vegetables, will team up with Wine Director Matthew Reiser to create an all vegan four-course dinner paired with vegan wines, to be served in the Jewel Box at Upstairs on the Square. Upstairs chef, staff, and especially their clientele, all adore vegetables prepared beautifully. The Greater Boston Food Bank’s Kitchen Cabinet at Whiskey Park
Rande Gerber’s Whiskey Park will host The Greater Boston Food Bank’s Kitchen Cabinet event, "15 Minutes of Fame," In a throw-back to Studio 54 style. For this event Whiskey Park will transform itself into a full-fledged disco, complete with vintage cocktails and flashback tunes spun by local DJ, Soul Clap. Todd English’s Bonfire restaurant will donate the evening’s fare, featuring Skirt Steak Tacos, Grilled Corn Quesadillas, and Smoked Duck Empanadas. Whiskey Park, in collaboration with event co-sponsor Pearl Vodka, will present an array of cocktails inspired by the Studio 54 theme. All proceeds go to the Food Bank. Third annual Gaelic Gourmet Gala at Hotel Commonwealth
Leading Irish chefs will again journey from Ireland to Boston to team up with local celebrity chefs to showcase the finest offerings from their respective culinary traditions. A night of fine Irish food, drink and culture, the Gaelic Gourmet Gala celebrates Irish culture in Boston and New Irish Cuisine; an innovative and stylish approach to cooking that has made Ireland a culinary hotspot in the world today. Premiere Eco Appetito event at Cinque Terre restaurant
Portland's Cinque Terre restaurant will usher in the first signs of spring with the First Annual Eco Appetito Good Eating for a Good Earth event, to benefit Saco, Maine's Ferry Beach Ecology School's Food for Thought program. The innovative program teaches students from throughout New England the value of eating naturally grown and organic food, and how to eat and live sustainably. Guests at the festive event will enjoy abundant samples of local Maine food, ranging from fine artisan cheeses, premium local meat and seafood dishes, succulent oysters, farm-fresh vegetables, and artisan breads. The event also will feature beer from Maine's Allagash Brewing company, wines from Cinque Terre's award-winning cellar, and a silent auction showcasing a wide variety of Maine products and services.

Beginning Sunday, March 16 through Saturday, March 22, restaurants will invite their customers to donate a minimum of $1 for the tap water they would normally get for free. For every dollar raised, a child will have clean drinking water for 40 days.As the world's leading children's organization, UNICEF understands the critical role water plays in a child's survival.

ST. PATRICK'S DAY!
Bee Irish
Irish eyes will be smiling when The Beehive presents their first annual St. Patrick's Day festivities. The event will include live entertainment and several ala carte Irish fare specials, as well as, The Beehive's general secret-smirk when it comes to planning events. The claim from inside the hive is that while there will be plenty of mini surprises, this will not be your typical Irish fest. No green beer there! They are planning a wonderful evening of amazing Irish comfort food and authentic Irish entertainment. The Beehive has landed the stamp of approval for this years event from the Boston Irish Tourism Association, lending their co-sponsorship and officially sanctioning the event.

Cooking Class with Personal Chef JJ Gonson - Seafood for Beginners
Seafood, a good source of protein, is often very quick to prepare. Join JJ Gonson in "Seafood for Beginners" and learn some extremely simple fish preparations, using a small selection of fishes (not high in mercury and not over-fished) such as trout, sole, salmon, steelhead and char. Join Farmstead's Chef/Owner Matt Jennings, as he joins Beau Vestal- Chef de Cuisine at New Rivers restaurant in Providence for a special evening of mollusks, cephalopods, and bivalves. This very special dinner will consist of 5 courses and will celebrate Rhode Island's unique aquaculture. Through Slow Food RI special events, it is the hope that if enough funds are generated between now and Labor Day, these events will provide enough funding to send some Rhode Island farmers to this year's Slow Food Nation in San Francisco, California- a national foods symposium, marketplace, forum& celebration of the country's best unadulterated foods.
