The curtain goes up on a new focus and renewal at JER-NE restaurant & bar (pronounced journey) on the street level at The Ritz-Carlton, Boston Common. Center stage in the revived and expanded Theatre District, it takes its cue from the surroundings and it is also reenergized. Since Jer-Ne opened it has been a chic Boston hot spot. Recognizing this success, the restaurant and bar is now consolidated into the street level only.

The cuisine of Executive Chef Clayton van Hooijdonk is derived from years of traveling the world and experimenting with new flavors. "I look forward to infusing my global influences with the traditions and flavors of New England cooking, taking advantage of local, seasonal ingredients, and working with area purveyors," says the Chef. His new menu offers tempting seafood, meats, pastas and other favorites alongside contemporary dishes, all presented with artistic flair.

Our pastry chef believes dessert should be available all day and evening, and selections range from traditional Boston cream pie to dueling creme brulees. Valet parking is conducive to meeting for cocktails and nibbles before a show, then returning for post-performance conversation, cordials and desserts. A late-night dining menu includes classics like The Ritz-Carlton burger, Mediterranean pizza and Jer-Ne's artisan cheese tasting.
