Tavolo is Ashmont Grill's Italian cousin, located one block south at 1918
Dorchester Avenue, in The Carruth building. Big, bright, casual and cost-conscious, this new concept from restaurateur Chris Douglass has been warmly embraced by the neighborhood for its accessible menu of gourmet pizzas, handmade pastas, hot panini, fresh salads and entrees, all priced under $21. A lively bar scene, takeout and a staff that one local restaurant critic called "ebullient" make this a
must-visit spot for dinner or drinks.
