Umami - Asian inspired global cuisine with a creative twist. There are four basic tastes: sweet, sour, salty and bitter. Umami is the Japanese word which makes an attempt to describe the 5th unknown taste that is indescribably delicious, often referred to as "savory." At Umami, we take great care in our cuisine created by Chef and owner, Yoshi Hakamoto. Our dishes are inspired by local farmers when possible, fresh, unique, and exotic ingredients most of the time.
